Vysa-Bond™ RAPID adhesive

is a single component, moisture curing polyurethane adhesive developed for use as a rapid setting adhesive for bonding Vysa-Pron™ thermal insulation to non-porous surfaces.

Vysa-Bond™ RAPID has two main purposes when bonding Vysa-Pron™ thermal insulation to sub-floors

A) Bonding non-porous surfaces such as:

1) Smooth or polished concrete sub-floor.

2) Floor covered with self levelling compound.

3) Floor with a water resistant epoxy membrane.

4) On top of existing ceramic tiles.

B) Rapid cure so that installation can proceed without any delay.

Vysa-Bond™ RAPID will cure in about 30 minutes at 20^oC.

Vysa-Bond™ RAPID must be used at temperatures of 10^oC ~ 25^oC

Vysa-Bond™ RAPID is the professionals preferred adhesive because it enables them to be certain that a strong bond has been established between the Vysa-Pron™ insulation and the sub-floor whatever the type of sub-floor.

NB at temperatures below 10^oC even Vysa-Bond™ RAPID takes longer to cure and should be left overnight.

PREPARATION It is important that the floor surface is grease free and swept clean of any contaminants liable to impair adhesion such as loose particles and any dust.

APPLICATION Vysa-Bond™ RAPID should be applied neat to the sub-floor surface only using the roller provided. It should then be 'activated' by spraying a fine mist of water onto the adhesive layer using the sprayer provided. One 'activated' the installer has only 10 minutes to lay the Vysa-Pron™ thermal insulation sheets. Planks or sheets of plywood should be applied to hold the insulation sheets in contact with the adhesive as they have a tendency to curl or lift.

COVERAGE 1 kg can cover from 3 to 5m² - depending on the floor surface.

STORAGE Store Vysa-Bond™ RAPID in cool dry conditions between +5^oC and +25^oC . Lower temperatures can cause permanent damage to the solution. Protect from frost.

Vysa-Bond™ RAPID has a shelf life of only 3 months. Please refer to the date stamp on the bottle to ensure that the Vysa-Bond™ RAPID has not exceeded it's shelf life.

NB The bottles of Vysa-Bond™ RAPID are sealed with a Nitrogen atmosphere during packing so exclude water vapour which initiates the curing process. A partially used bottle of Vysa-Bond™ RAPID will not keep for later use because the water vapour present in the air will cause the contents to cure.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Vysa-Bond™ RAPID contains Diphenylmethane-4,4-Diisocyanate. Irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin. May cause sensitisation by inhalation and skin contact. Do not breathe fumes. Avoid contact with skin. Wear suitable protective clothing and gloves. In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show the label if possible). In case of accident by inhalation, remove casualty to fresh air and keep at rest. Always observe good industrial hygiene practices, keep out of reach of children.
