When the underfloor heating circuit load exceeds the maximum capacity of the thermostat (normally 16A / 3,600 Watts) a suitably rated contactor must be used.

This 40 Amp rated contactor will switch a load of up to 8,600 Watts.

The DIN rail mounting contactor can be installed into one of Vysal's enclosures for DIN rail devices

A manual override enables the temporary setting of the contactor in either the on or off position in addition to normal automatic operation.

When a contactor is mounted alongside an MCB of greater than 10 amp current rating or two contactors are mounted alongside an MCB or side by side, it is necessary to insert a blank module between them.

We offer only the MK 7240s (CGD do not have a 40A rated device).

This diagram shows how the 40A contactor should be connected to the Vysa-Therm thermostat and the heating cable or mat.

Please note that the maximum load that can be connected to a 40A contactor is 8.6kW.
